Got Any Ideas To Stop Crime In Schools?

ideas to stop crimeThere have been more than 50 school shootings in the United States and around the world since the first one on February 2, 1996 in Moses Lake, WA when 14 year old Barry Loukaitis opened fire in his Algebra class. The youngest assailant was a 6 year old boy and the most infamous are Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris of Littleton, CO.

Since then school shootings have gone from rare and unheard of occurances to almost common place. What is happening with our youth of the world and why are they turning to deadly violence to vent their unhappiness and anger toward society? And are there any new ideas to stop crime in our schools in the future?

Many of these assailants are victims themselves of bullying and being ostracized by their fellow classmates. While bullying is a devastating and horrible act upon an individual it unfortunately has been happening for decades longer than 1996 with these victims not lashing back with such deadly force.

Bullying, teasing and being ostracized by your fellow classmates does lead to depression and built up hostility and anger. What authorities, teachers and parents need to do is reach out to these children before it gets beyond the boiling point and get the children into counseling and support groups, anywhere that they can get help. Move out of town or out of state if that will get them in a new and helpful surrounding.

If you have any other ideas to stop crime in our schools we would like to know about it.
